Rental Terms & Conditions

1. Rental Service Area

Saathiya Ethnic provides couture rental services across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) with in-studio fitting consultations, express courier delivery, and doorstep collection.

We also ship to major Indian cities including Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Jaipur, and Chennai via insured air express couriers (Blue Dart and DTDC). For outstation bookings, transit transit days are excluded from your 4-day rental period so you retain the outfit for the full duration of your celebration.

2. 4-Day Rental Period

Each rental booking covers a standard duration of 4 consecutive calendar days structured as follows:

• Day 1 (Delivery & Fitting): The outfit arrives at your shipping address or is collected from our Mumbai atelier. You try on the ensemble to ensure perfect fitting.
• Day 2 (Preparation & Pre-Event): Time for minor adjustments, matching accessories, and pre-wedding functions.
• Day 3 (Event Celebration): Your main wedding ceremony, sangeet, reception, or festival.
• Day 4 (Return Collection): The outfit is packed in the provided garment bag and collected by our logistics partner.

3. Additional Daily Rental Charges (Extra Rental Charge: 10% Per 4th Day)

Clients requiring an extension beyond the standard 4-day period (for destination weddings or extended ceremonies) may request an extension prior to dispatch:

• Extra Rental Charge: Additional days beyond the 4-day lease are billed at 10% of the base rental fee per extra day (10% Per 4th Day).
• Destination Wedding Package: A 7-day extended rental package is available at a 30% surcharge over the base 4-day rental fee.
• Unauthorized Late Return: If an outfit is not handed over on Day 4 without prior written approval, a late return fee of ₹1,500 per day plus the daily rental rate will apply, as delayed returns impact subsequent scheduled reservations.

4. GST Information (6% GST Excluded in Rental Price)

In compliance with statutory Indian tax regulations, 6% GST is excluded in the base rental price and is billed transparently at checkout. A formal tax invoice with our registered GSTIN is issued automatically upon booking confirmation. Security deposits are custodial reserves and do not attract GST.

5. Security Deposit (2× Rental Amount)

A refundable Security Deposit equal to 2× the Rental Amount is held in dedicated escrow at checkout to safeguard handcrafted couture garments:

• Security Deposit Value: Calculated as exactly 2× the base rental fee.
• Refund Timeline: Once the returned outfit is received at our Mumbai atelier, our quality team inspects it within 24 to 48 hours, and the security deposit is refunded in full to your original payment method or bank account.
• 100% Refund Guarantee on Cancellations: If you cancel your rental booking at any time, 100% of the security deposit is always refunded without deductions.
• Normal Wear & Tear: Light dust or minor lining creasing is expected and covered by our complimentary cleaning service. No deductions are made for standard use.

6. Product Return Conditions

Please adhere to the following return guidelines:

• Do Not Wash or Iron: Do not attempt to hand-wash, machine-wash, or dry-clean the garment yourself. Professional ecological hydrocarbon dry-cleaning is handled by our atelier after return.
• Original Packaging: Place the garment back into the provided garment bag along with all included accessories (hangers, brooches, safa kalgis, dupattas).
• Severe Damage: Irreversible fabric burns, deep tears, or missing heavy zari embellishments will be assessed fairly based on artisan repair costs.

7. Rental Conditions & Alterations

To provide a comfortable fitting, complimentary tailoring is included:

• In-House Master Alterations: Our tailors adjust blouse seams, waistbands, and sherwani fittings according to the measurements you provide prior to shipping.
• No Scissor Cuts: Clients are strictly prohibited from cutting, scissoring, or executing permanent local tailoring alterations on rented garments.

8. General Rental Rules

• Age & Identification: Renters must be at least 18 years old. Valid government photo identification (Aadhaar card, Passport, or Driving License) is required for verification.
• Date Postponement: We permit one complimentary date reschedule up to 14 days before your original delivery date, subject to outfit availability.
• Non-Transferable: Rented outfits are intended solely for the registered client and cannot be sub-let or transferred to other individuals.
