Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Cancellation Timeline & Applicable Deductions

When a couture outfit is reserved for rental, our atelier blocks the dates exclusively for you and begins master tailoring, dry cleaning, and calendar scheduling. If you need to cancel your rental booking, deductions are calculated based on the notice period provided before your scheduled delivery date:

• Cancellation 3 Weeks (21 or more days) Before Rental Date: 50% deduction of the rental fee. The remaining 50% of the rental fee is refunded to you.
• Cancellation 1 Week (7 to 20 days) Before Rental Date: 70% deduction of the rental fee, as customized sizing alterations and garment preparation have already commenced. The remaining 30% of the rental fee is refunded.
• Cancellation Less Than 7 Days Before Rental Date: 100% deduction of the rental fee. Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled delivery date are non-refundable towards the rental charge.

2. Security Deposit Information

The refundable security deposit is ALWAYS 100% refunded upon cancellation, regardless of when the cancellation occurs.

Security deposits are collected solely to guarantee garment custody during your rental tenure. Because cancelled orders are never dispatched, the entire security deposit amount is released back to your bank account or payment source with zero deductions.

3. Refund Information & Processing Timelines

Once your cancellation request is verified, refunds are processed as follows:

• Processing Window: Refunds are initiated within 24 to 48 business hours of cancellation approval.
• Credit Timeline: Depending on your banking institution, funds will reflect in your account within 3 to 5 business days.
• Refund Destination: For payments made via UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking, refunds are credited back to the original source payment method. If paid via direct bank transfer, the refund will be credited to your verified bank account via NEFT/IMPS.
• Acknowledgment: A formal refund confirmation along with the bank transaction reference number (UTR) will be sent to your registered WhatsApp number and email.

4. Cancellation Process

To cancel a confirmed rental booking, please follow these steps:

1. Contact Our Concierge: Reach out to us via WhatsApp at +91 98200 12345 or email care@saathiyaethnic.com with your Booking ID (e.g., SE-RENT-8421) and registered name.
2. Confirmation & Verification: Our customer support desk will log the cancellation timestamp and confirm the eligible refund amount as per the deduction schedule above.
3. Refund Initiation: The net refundable amount (including 100% of your security deposit and any eligible rental balance) will be released to your original payment method.

5. Date Rescheduling in Lieu of Cancellation

If your wedding or event date has been postponed, you do not have to cancel your order. Saathiya Ethnic permits one complimentary date change up to 14 days prior to your original delivery date, provided the selected garment is available on your revised date. Your entire rental payment and security deposit will be transferred to the new date without any cancellation deduction.

6. Retail & Sale Product Cancellations

For purchased items (ready-to-wear sarees, gowns, and accessories bought through our online sale):

• Orders may be cancelled free of charge within 24 hours of placement, provided the order has not been dispatched.
• Once an order has been dispatched or handed over to the courier partner, cancellations are not permitted.
• Custom-tailored or personalized sale garments cannot be cancelled once cutting and tailoring have commenced.

7. Cancellation by Saathiya Ethnic

In the rare event that an outfit is rendered unfit for rental due to unforeseen quality issues or courier delays prior to dispatch, Saathiya Ethnic will notify you immediately. In such cases, you will receive an immediate 100% full refund (including rental fee and security deposit), or the option to choose an alternative outfit of equal or higher value at no extra charge.
